Nurturing Wellness Through Mindfulness

At Embodied Healing, we help clients to slow down, become more aware of their present experience and gain skills to help become more mindful in their everyday life.

​

Rebecca began exploring mindfulness facilitation by offering group meditation sessions for her fellow oncology nurses and teammates within the hospital system. Currently, Rebecca offers individual, small group and large groups mindfulness facilitation. She incorporates guided meditation, breath work, visualization, and relaxation to help ease clients into a state of regulation. She also offers corporate Wellness Breaks for employees in the workplace and at conferences.

 

Rebecca values the practice of slowing down, engaging in mindful awareness while navigating daily tasks and breathing more space into places in the body that carry tension and difficult emotions. 

Rebecca completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training and went on to complete her 40 hour Restorative Yoga Training in Toronto. Rebecca has been a practicing yogi for over 10 years and continues to practice yoga both on and off the mat. Rebecca also holds her Reiki Level 2 certification and engages in regular self-Reiki and meditation.

Nourish
- A Restorative Yoga Experience 

Join Rebecca for a private or dyadic 75 minute restorative yoga experience at Embodied Healing!

 

Restorative yoga is a gentle practice whereby you hold poses for 5-10 minutes at a time, completely supported by props including bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps and/or sandbags. The purpose of restorative yoga is to slow down the mind, find ease, learn to be in stillness and engage the parasympathetic nervous system, which encourages the body to rest. These sessions will go beyond your typical restorative yoga class, as each session will be personalized to support your specific needs. We will be using many props for each posture to ensure the body is completely supported while immersing your senses to help encourage present moment awareness and complete relaxation.

Start your session by pulling an oracle card to help set your intention for the session. Rebecca will then guide you into gentle and fully supported postures (3-4 postures per session) while nourishing your senses through the use of sound, essential oils, incense and gentle touch. Brief visualization or meditation cues may be offered to help encourage relaxation in the body. You may also request Reiki during your session to invite in the supportive energy of Universal Love. Your session will conclude with a calming cup of tea and an opportunity for you to chat about your experience. Sessions are 75 minutes in length. This allows time for the mind and body to settle and truly reap the benefits of a restorative yoga practice.

$140 + HST for individual 75 minute sessions

$220 + HST for dyadic (2 person) 75 minute sessions *A great option for friends, couples, family etc.

Reiki

Work towards relaxation and healing with a Reiki session, whereby Rebecca connects with your energy force and that of the universe to offer you rest, universal love and energetic balancing and clearing. Available for 60 and 75 minute sessions. Reiki can also be combined with Restorative Yoga sessions.​

Wellsprings Be Well Talk -  Navigating Cancer with Imagery with Rebecca 

Gain insights into the practice of imagery and how imagery and visualization can be used to help navigate a cancer diagnosis. This talk was hosted by cancer support agency, Wellspring.
